I had an interesting and scary thing happen last night. Of course, I might be making a mountain out of nothing which I've been accused of doing! I am on thyroid medication and as I write this on Sunday morning, I will be honest and tell all of you I missed my dosage Friday and missed one Saturday. (This may be a factor here.) Saturday evening I did some strenuous work, relaxed, and ate supper. I finished supper with a very sweet Walmart packaged eclaire. Rolling Eyes Within about an hour I noticed what appeared to be a very irregular heartbeat or some type of "fluttery" feeling inside of me. There were no other symptoms and this morning my heartbeat is normal for me, 68-72. I am not diabetic. Is it possible the very "sweetness" of this pastry had some allergic affect? Maybe the chocolate too? My description may sound "stupid" or even funny, but it is what it is!

Any comments are welcomed. Oh yes, I think I've experienced this before and quite possibly after eating something very sweet.

Thanks, gang!

Hi
Interesting report.
Whatever anyone writes here is never "stupid" . We usually write because we need some assurance! Smile

Irregular heartbeats are usually quite normal in my experience. I get them myself quite often and sometimes it can be just a little scary... Surprised
BUT having read a lot about this I accept that it can happen occasionally.
Underlying causes can bring it about.... for example my wife has 'atrial fibrilation' and has to take warfarin to thin the blood a little.

So there you go...just comments from me perhaps without any conclusions Very Happy

However, I would like to know a little more about you...age?,why you are taking thyroid treatment?how long for?
Purely for interest.

I also experienced the same problem, that's why I'm avoiding to eat foods that are very sweet and once I eat something sweet I'm drinking a lot of water.
